Ways to Train
Once health facilities re-open, you can choose to train in person with a trainer you have already connected with on beem. They will be compliant with Covid measures and well adapted to ensure you can exercise safely.
Remote one-to-one sessions are very popular now that everyone has adapted and is more comfortable using video calls. Trainers are able to coach, advise and correct technique whilst you get the service in the comfort of your own home.
Current government rules state; Personal training can take place in an outdoor public space with one person from another household (1:1 sessions). Children under 5, and up to 2 carers for a person with a disability who needs continuous care, are not counted towards the gatherings limits for exercising outside.
Many trainers offer online programming and services vary from sending workouts with videos and specific weight progressions tailored to you, to full access to an app and weekly check-ins either remotely or in person. Most offer instant support messaging and nutrition guidance, too. This works really well when life gets in the way of you having in-person coaching and you have a clear goal to work towards. The standard has improved significantly and has proven both popular and effective.
These really took off during the first lockdown and they make it easy to join a group of like-minded people to enjoy a workout in the comfort of your own home. Social media has many free options but the personal touch you get in a facility is simulated on video call platforms and is the most popular. Use beem to connect with a trainer who offers this option and get the best rate with direct access.
In-person group exercise
Whether in a facility or outdoors in the open air, many trainers offer group exercise and have a schedule for you to choose from. This can be a great way to stay motivated or change things up, all whilst making friends and being part of a community. Exercises are more generic rather than tailored but the best trainers adapt all exercises quickly if you need a different option for a niggle, injury or ability.
